Nu hvor Veeam Backup & Replication v5 er kommet på gaden er der mange som gerne vil have licensfiler konverteret fra v4 til v5. Dette kan lade sig gøre ved at I logger jer ind på følgende link http://www.veeam.com/manage_licenses.html ved hjælp af jeres registrerede Veeam brugernavn og password. How are Veeam products licensed?All Veeam products are licensed per socket for each managed server ("sockets"). A managed server is defined as any VMware ESX or ESXi Server that is monitored, backed up/replicated from, collected data from or otherwise managed by the Veeam software product. "Socket" means a single, physical chip that houses no more than six (6) processor cores. See the Veeam End-User License Agreement for more details. When do I need a new license key?Veeam is constantly innovating, typically releasing several new product updates each year. For minor releases (1.2, 4.1, 5.5, etc.) a new license key is not required. You can continue to use your current Veeam license for all minor updates to the product. Am I eligible for a new license key at no charge?Your initial license key of any Veeam product includes the first year of maintenance. This means you are entitled to all updates to that product that are released within 12 months from the time your license agreement goes into effect. After that, you must purchase additional years of maintenance in order to continue receiving updates at no additional charge. Additional years of maintenance can be purchased in advance at a discount – contact your Veeam representative to request a quote. How do customers on maintenance receive new license keys for major product updates?Upon release of a major product update, customers can download the new version and receive a 30-day license key.
